Søren West

Born in Copenhagen in 1963.

West is currently living at the Egeskov Mill near Kvaerndrup, Denmark. In addition to being a sculptor, he also teaches at high schools and the Design School in Kolding, Denmark.

Education and training: The Funen Art Academy.1983-1988 and the stone workshop in Carrara, Italy.

His primary media is stone, with a preference for granite. West has also worked with coloring and other consulting assignments within construction.

Exhibitions:
West actively participates in exhibitions at home and abroad, including NordArt in Beiersdorf, Germany.

Public sculptures and decorative art assignments:
West has completed 112 commissions for companies, housing projects, public institutions, communes, schools, and private clients.
